It's great to know that if one waits long enough then one
once again becomes the standard by which all others are judged.
It is safe to say that Mr. Gopnik's words describe my own work
with the exception of the term "slacker". Recent shows at the
New Museum in New York and the University of Pennsylvania's
Institute of Contemporary Art, reinforce this thought, especially
with the current exhibition, "Dirt on Delight: Impulses That Form Clay".
It's so nice to hear that one's signature style, is, after years of
challenge, back in vogue with a vengeance...
